snow

Today we were visited by the #beastfromtheeast which brought a constantly changing sky that created such magical colours, shapes and shadows in the garden.

I couldn’t resist playing with my shadow when the sun came out and taking snaps of the snow laden trees and plants. I love how the snow piles up on the smallest of surfaces and just bonds together so delicately.

We haven’t seen this much snow in a very long time and it has been very memorable watching my childrens pure joy at what this icy storm has brought us.

I love snow. And I think we should let a snow day be a snow day....no school. If you wanted instruction that embodies the" homeschool" model, then computers won't work. Maria Montessori, the woman physician who developed the home school model, did not take children into her home for instruction. She gathered the street children into a specially designed spacel that would remind those homeless darlings of a real home.....her methods and her carefully designed materials were to be presented by SPECIALLY TRAINED TEACHERS, who complied with her methods. I believe she required them to wear suitable clothes and to always wear an APRON !!
